IODE Hamilton Legacy
When the Municipal Chapter of Hamilton IODE disbanded in 2012, the chapter presented McMaster University with a monetary gift that was added to establish student awards.
The Municipal Chapter of Hamilton I.O.D.E. Legacy Bursary valued at $4,000
Established in 2012 and to be granted to a student or students enrolled in Level III of any program who demonstrate financial need. Preference to be given to students who have graduated from a Hamilton secondary school. The Daughters of the Empire Club, Hamilton Ltd. Bursaries valued at $4,500
Established in 1996 in support of its belief that all students should have the opportunity to pursue their educational aspirations. A variable number of bursaries to be granted to students in financial need. Preference to be given to women in the Faculty of Business. The I.O.D.E. Hamilton Martha Serrels Academic Grant valued at $1,000
Is awarded to a student registered in a commerce program in the DeGroote School of Business who attains a high sessional average and demonstrates financial need. The Municipal Chapter (Hamilton), I.O.D.E. Muriel E Skelton Award valued $300
Was established in 1944 by the Municipal Chapter of Hamilton, Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire. To be awarded to the student who attains the highest standing in a level 1 History course. The McMaster University Endowment Trust Fund administers these awards.
