Provincial Funds and Projects
The Provincial Chapter administers the following funds and with the approval from the Provincial Executive Committee and in the name of Ontario Members distributes the funds as per the criteria/terms of reference.
These Funds were established at a past Provincial Annual Meeting to support awards or maintain projects. These Funds continue from the financial assistance by chapter or from personal donation. Personal donations to any of these funds over $20 will receive a charitable tax receipt.

IODE Ontario Donors Circle
For over 100 years, the Provincial Chapter of Ontario IODE (IODE Ontario) has been serving the needs of our communities in conjunction with primary chapters located in various parts of the province. Due to the recent world pandemic, we are now in need of your help to administer our good works and projects.
The IODE Ontario Donors Circle was created November 2021 to provide a financial base that will allow for the sustainability and operation of the Provincial Chapter of Ontario IODE (IODE Ontario).

The IODE Ontario Donors Circle was created November 2021 to provide a financial base that will allow for the sustainability and operation of the Provincial Chapter of Ontario IODE (IODE Ontario).
Citizenship Fund
Provides for projects of the Provincial Citizenship Department.

- The IODE Ontario Provincial Police Community Relations Award is presented annually at the time of the Provincial Annual Meeting. The recipient receives a cheque payable to a community service program of their choice.
Communications Fund
- Established to promote IODE through radio, TV, social media and printed media
- Provides funds to print promotional materials for primary chapter use
- Develops and maintains the Provincial website, Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram account
IODE Ontario Lucy Morrison Memorial Fund for Education
This Provincial Education Fund is named for a Past Provincial President

- It provides bursaries ranging in value from $500 - $1,000. These are awarded to worthy students who need financial assistance to continue their post-secondary education. Applications from universities and colleges in Ontario arrive continuously. The need is great. Your contributions are always most welcome.
- This fund assists one student, entering at least Grade 10, at Canada's National Ballet School in Toronto. IODE Ontario contributes $1,000 to this partnership to assist a young artist to pursue their dreams.
- An annual award for $1,000 is presented to a student in his/her second year Ontario College of Arts and Design University.
Services Fund
It covers the Packing Room expenses and specific purchases such as dental kits, shampoo, towels, face cloths, underwear and other particular requests from isolated Northern communities.

Footwear For Kids Fund
To purchase winter boots, rain boots, athletic shoes and socks for northern communities. They are most appreciative of this valuable service.

Toys for the North
Throughout the year toys, clothing, etc. are acquired. Each November, the purchased and donated items are packed and shipped by Canada Post to remote northern locations receiving assistance from the Provincial Services Department. This special shipment is always eagerly anticipated. It ensures that the children and youth receive at least one gift for Christmas.

Services Shipping Fund
This was fund established in 2007 in order that we could continue sending shipments to many locations in Northern Ontario that depend on our support. All money in this fund goes directly to pay for shipping costs.

Toronto Legacy Fund
The Toronto Legacy Committee includes members from Toronto Chapters, the Provincial President, the Provincial Education Officer and the Provincial Treasurer. The Toronto Legacy Fund allows chapters and individuals to contribute for projects that the Toronto Municipal Chapter supported.

CARD (Community Association for the Riding for the Disabled) for the care and feeding of the horses.
Jean Throop Book Award is valued at $2,000 presented annually at the Provincial Annual Meeting to a Canadian author/illustrator residing in the province of Ontario. The book should appeal to children between the ages of 3 and 7.
Remembrance Day Service, the IODE Captain Nichola Goddard Chapter lays a wreath at Old Fort York. A second wreath is placed by a Toronto member at Old City Hall. The cost for the piper at the Fort York Remembrance Day Service is covered by this fund.
The Toronto Trades Award (Susan S. Near Award) $2,000 annually $1,000 awarded to a male student and $1,000 to a female student graduating from Central Technical Collegiate. The recipients must be enrolled in a trade or apprenticeship program and are chosen by the school.
Tine Stewart Bursary for students enrolled in Grade 11 or Grade 12 motivated with goals for future academic achievements. These students find themselves in challenging family circumstances that influence their academic performance. Each student is given $1,000 for the academic year (2 allotments of $500 each).
Special Representatives Fund
This Fund is used to help defray travelling expenses of Provincial Officers when visiting chapters in response to your invitations. Your donations to this fund will enable the executive to continue this vital exchange of ideas and sharing of concerns while getting to know your members throughout the province.
