IODE Ontario 1920 - 2020 100 Years of Community Service
This paperback is a chronicle of IODE community service in Ontario since 1900. Throughout the province, IODE has left a legacy of good works and respect of our devotion.
This book documents that IODE members have been instrumental in building hospitals, erecting cenotaphs to commemorate the fallen, assist the veterans from each war, and address the needs of their communities. It includes how Primary Chapters have and continue to support local hospitals in many ways through the supply of equipment, furnishing and maintaining a room, assisting in raising funds and providing bandages and even linen in the early decades. A timeline by decades describes programs and projects that IODE has accomplished and continues to maintain. It contains records of Provincial Life members, Provincial Officers, Primary Chapters and many fascinating facts. |
