IODE London is a proud recipient of a 2011 Community Heritage Investment Program (CHIP) grant. These funds were secured to write and publish a book ‘Called to Serve ... IODE London Celebrates 100 Years’. This publication will be designed to give insight into the history of the London Municipal Chapter in its role as the coordinating body of the Primary Chapters in London over the last century. Fifty-four Primary Chapters have been formed in London since 1900 and the London Municipal Chapter received its charter in 1911.
IODE London is seeking to include into this centenary publication the stories of former IODE members or local residents whose lives have been profoundly impacted by services or educational opportunities provided by this outstanding organization.
Please note that an IODE London representative will be pleased to accommodate an interview at a prearranged time.
They will make every effort to publish all stories received.
